Crane wheels are manufactured according to DIN standards or company-specific standards, in diameters ranging from Ø 100 mm to Ø 1,250 mm. The wheels are produced in forged steel, cast steel, or spheroidal graphite iron (ductile iron).
Wheel sets are made in accordance with DIN standards. KARL GEORG typically works to standard KG 125 and KG 130, or according to customer requirements, in various wheel materials — for both driven and non-driven wheel sets.
Karl Georg also manufactures wheel blocks that are fully compatible with, and offer a competitive alternative to, Demag wheel blocks. These wheel blocks are available in various sizes from Ø 160 mm to Ø 400 mm and are suitable for all types of gear units, manufacturers, and shaft types.
The wheel blocks are not only used in cranes but are also widely employed in transport applications, such as conveyor systems and across the entire field of mechanical engineering.

We supply all necessary accessories, from gear wheels, wheel axles, and thrust washers to complete cranes, crane kits, and additional equipment.
The wheel materials used are forged steel, cast steel, or ductile iron, and are precisely tailored to each specific application. Crane wheels are available with or without flanges, with roller bearings or plain bearings, and with or without a gear rim.
Depending on the requirements, we also offer heat treatment, such as tread surface hardening, as well as special surface finishes and coatings.
